Trying AI to cover Cranium

While I have finished the first four teacher portraits for the 'Teachers of The Netherlands' project (see my previous blog), I also had another Cranium magazine to complete. This time, no obvious cover picture surfaced while working on the internal layout, so I contacted a WPZ member with AI experience and we set out to create a cover image.

It was a fun project full of trials and errors. The worst probably was a two-legged rhino that the system gave us! Artificial? Yes. Intelligent?

The rhino also became less and less woolly with each edit, but that might have something to do with the threat of climate change and megafauna extinction, which are among the main topics of this Cranium. Eventually, I had the possibility choose between these two covers. I went with the more dramatic right one.
